It has been a while since we have run any auditions (as opposed to standard reviews) in T$S, but JAH and KWN have been listening to some interesting products lately and thought it would be useful to report on what they heard. What we mean by an audition as printed in this magazine is a short, to-the-point commentary based on impressions gathered from non-home listening experiences.
Although not as exhaustive as a full home reviewing session, this form of equipment reporting has some validity because most "auditions" are conducted in an environment setup and controlled by the manufacturer or the manufacturer's sales agent.
