KANSAS CITY _ New Missouri coach Gary Pinkel warned oft-injured quarterback Kirk Farmer not to get hurt playing football. Perhaps Pinkel should have told Farmer to be more careful off the field, too.

Farmer suffered a fractured fifth metacarpal bone in the little finger on his passing hand in the early hours of Friday morning in Columbia. Sources close to and within the team said Farmer was hurt in a scuffle at what MU students call "after-bars," private parties that begin after the local bars close.
