TestMart(R), a Web-solutions technology company that builds and operates private marketplaces, announced today that it has been awarded a contract with an estimated value of $600 million by the Department of Defense Naval Inventory and Control Point (NAVICP). Under terms of the five-year agreement, TestMart will develop and operate a private e-commerce marketplace for the General Purpose Electronic Test Equipment (GPETE) division. NAVICP estimates that the contract will reduce procurement costs by more than $360 million.
