According to experts, the domestic chemical fertilizer market will still be in short demand in the second half of this year because of the following reasons:
(1) The grain market will be open after the WTO entry and the import amount will be more than Hi this year.
(2) The incidence of natural disasters in the second half of this year will be higher than the first half.
(3) There is 570 million mu (lmu=667[m.sup.2])of cultivated land in the western region. 50 million mu of the total will be returned to forestry and the work was already completed in 5.15 million mu in 2000. The return of grain plots to forestry will be accelerated in H2 this ...
