FAMILY; GOLDMAN PRIZE HONORS GRASSROOTS HEROES ON EVERY CONTINENT
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- California philanthropists Richard and Rhoda Goldman today announced their new Goldman Environmental Prize honoring six environmental heroes annually. The first Goldman Environmental Prize winners will be named in early 1990.
The $60,000 awards will go to six individuals -- one from each of these continental regions: North America, South/Central America and the Caribbean, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia/Antarctica/At-Large. The total of $360,000, given annually, ...
