Who knew olive oil could come in so many styles and flavors? At Oliviers & CO., the recently opened Newbury Street olive oil emporium, customers are encouraged to belly up to the tasting bar and sample 20 types of oil - from light to full-bodied, mild to intense.
"There are tasting notes for all our oils," explains sales associate Sheryl Victor. "Take this Trasimeno oil from Umbria (Italy)," she says, pouring a drizzle of green-hued olive oil into a plastic spoon for a customer to sample. "It has the flavors of almond, fresh grass and baked apple."
