The School of Human Ecology at the University of Wisconsin has grown with the times, and wants an upgraded building to reflect that.
The erstwhile School of Home Economics (and later Family Resources) needs a modernized building ready to host the public and handle today's technology, preferably with underground parking and more than one men's bathroom.
The university hired Taliesin Architects to do a concept design for the building. The preliminary plans call for gutting the inside of the current building, built in 1913, and adding to it so it almost doubles in size.
