Swissrose International, Inc. of Moonachie, N.J., is voluntarily recalling some Bauer Butterkase semi-soft cheese, a product manufactured in Germany and distributed nationwide in the United States, because the "egg white lysozyme" was not specified in the food ingredient list. On the ingredient lists, the word "enzymes" was used rather than specifically stating "egg white lysozymes," which are enzymes derived from eggs. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
