CHOCOLATE labradors are the UK's most accident prone dogs, with more than half needing extensive veterinary treatment during their lives, research has shown.

A chocolate labrador is more than twice as likely to have an accident or suffer an illness as a black labrador, with 55% of owners making an insurance claim to cover the cost of treatment, according to Tesco Personal Finance.
