Back-yard gardeners and frustrated lawn-keepers are invited to polish their green thumbs at two events next weekend sponsored by UW-Madison and UW-Extension.

Both events are called field days, one aimed at homeowners with grass and lawn questions and the other targeted to urban horticulturists.

Wondering about weeds? Planting a prairie? Come to the O.J. Noer Turfgrass Facility near Verona, where John Stier and others will offer tours and explanations of their 16 acres of greenness.
