JANESVILLE -- Battery charges will not be filed against two people involved in a fight with Dane County Assistant District Attorney Michael Finley outside a Madison tavern last month.
District Attorney David O'Leary, whose Rock County office reviewed reports of the July 14 incident because of Finley's position in Dane County, said there wasn't enough evidence to support battery charges against the pair who allegedly attacked Finley.
Instead, O'Leary recommended that David Langston, 23, of Stoughton, and Melissa Eggert, 21, of Madison, receive tickets for disorderly conduct.
