As a member of the Monty Python comedy troupe, Michael Palin always conjured laughs, whether playing a pet shop owner or the head of the Spanish Inquisition. He has spiced his resum with film appearances since the Pythons last got together, but he also has gained fame in a new role: Tour guide.
He's in great form in "Michael Palin's Hemingway Adventure" (Thomas Dunne Books, 256 pages, $17.95). This handsome book, full of glorious photographs by Basil Pao, is a companion to the four-part PBS series in which Palin retraced the wanderings of one of America's literary icons, Ernest Hemingway.
