Jake Halligan has been playing, or rather as he says, hitting golf balls since he was 2 years old.
Now 14 years later, all that practice has allowed him to develop into a pretty good golfer.
Wednesday, Halligan continued his impressive summer as he shot a 1-over 73 to win the Kirk Maddux Junior Memorial by one stroke at Boone Links.
Before this summer, however, the 16-year-old high school junior couldn't put it all together when the Northern Kentucky Junior tournaments came along. No matter what it was, he just couldn't seem to end up in the winner's circle. Sure, there were a lot of second- and third-place finishes, but ...
