Aug. 13--At Carnegie Hall, you can still go to a concert and hear someone play the violin. But soon you won't be able to go there to buy one.
After getting evicted two weeks ago by the Carnegie Hall Corp., violin dealers Gregory Singer and Frederick Oster are packing their wares and contemplating the future.
"The writing is on the wall. I'm trying to hang on here but don't have too much to hang on to," said Singer. "It looks bad for the violin shop in Carnegie Hall."
