HEALTH MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES WINS $65 MILLION GOVERNMENT CONTRACT; WILL MANAGE CHAMPUS & CHAMPVA MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Health Mangement Strategies International, Inc. (HMS), a nationally recognized leader in managed health care, has been awarded a multi-million dollar contract by the Department of Defense.

Beginning Jan. 1, 1990, HMS will provide mental health utilization management services to nearly 6.5 million beneficiaries of the CHAMPUS and CHAMPVA programs nationally.
