CARNIVAL CRUISE LINES REACHES THREE-SHIP AGREEMENT

FOR HOLLAND AMERICA SUBSIDIARY

MIAMI, Oct. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Carnival Cruise Lines, Inc. (AMEX: CCL) announced today that a limited partnership owned by its subsidiaries has entered into an agreement with a European shipyard for the construction of three cruise ships to be chartered to and operated by its Holland America Line subsidiary following delivery.
