Barclays has appointed Starcom Motive to handle its [pound]15m media buying and planning account.
Starcom beat OMD UK to the account after submitting written proposals and taking part in a series of workshops.
Incumbent MediaVest, Starcom Motive's sister agency, was knocked out of the process in June along with Optimedia.
Only MediaVest was invited to pitch by Barclays when the review was announced in February. But the bank approved a request by parent company Starcom MediaVest to put both its agencies forward.
