Washington has gone through an ideological shift of monumental proportions to the extent that national policy taken as a given for decades now is being questioned.
Congress (especially the House of Representatives) is leading the way with its effort to steamroll legislation that would eliminate the U.S. Department of Education and obliterate dozens of programs that up to now were viewed favorably by Congress and administered by the Department of Education.
