Aug. 11--Code Blue, Code Blue. Those words indicate a medical crisis and put everyone on alert.
Now the nursing profession is having its own code blue in South Dakota.
-- 9 percent of South Dakota's registered nurse positions are vacant.
-- 72 percent of organizations hiring nurses report some degree of shortage.
