NEW HAVEN, Conn., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ --

The Aristotle Corporation (Nasdaq: ARTL) announced today that it has received an amended Schedule 13D submitted by Geneve Corporation, its largest shareholder. As stated in the Schedule 13D, Aristotle confirmed that it and Geneve recently have held discussions concerning the possible formulation of a transaction between Aristotle and Geneve pursuant to which Aristotle would acquire a large operating subsidiary of Geneve. Discussions are anticipated to continue. The Company and Geneve have not, and may not, arrive at an understanding regarding the terms of such a transaction.
