SEOUL, Aug 14 Asia Pulse - The 2008 Beijing Olympics Games are expected to benefit Korean construction, traffic, communications, tourism, electronics, and information-technology sectors, Samsung Economic Research Institute said Tuesday.

In a report on the impact of the Beijing Olympics on the Korean economy, Samsung said Korean communications companies, leading the way in CDMA-mode telecommunication, are expected to step up their drive to capture more of the Chinese communications market.

The Beijing Olympics will be the first entirely HD-TV broadcast, so the demand for broadcast equipment and related products will rise, according to Samsung.
