Aug. 14--FPL Energy effectively pulled the plug on a proposed power plant in Union Township last week, withdrawing its request for connection to the PJM Interconnection system.
"It was decided at this time it (the proposed Union Township power plant) was not the best use of our resources," FPL Energy spokeswoman Lanie Budai said.
However, she said the company continues to maintain options on the 145 acres off Concord Road southeast of Union City where it considered placing the power plant.
