The last in a series of flood control projects along Salt Creek may be on its way.
The DuPage County Board approved spending $95,000 to build models and engineer improvements to the dam at the south end of Busse Lake, where Salt Creek emerges from the reservoir. Although Busse Woods is in Cook County, it is part of DuPage County's plan to contain Salt Creek, which has long caused major flooding problems for businesses and residents.
