SANTA ANA, Calif. _ The Santa Ana Police Department's way of deploying officers is so successful that the Los Angeles Police Department should imitate it to help improve morale and prevent officers from leaving, new Los Angeles Mayor Jim Hahn said Wednesday.
"People are very positive about the Police Department here in Santa Ana," Hahn said at a news conference after meeting with Santa Ana police officials. "And morale is very high here."
Hahn has promised LAPD officers a flexible work schedule and visited Santa Ana to see how the city's works.
"It looks like it's a win-win for everybody," Hahn said.
