Ancient Chinese Art from Sichuan

This exhibition presents 175 objects, discovered in the last 15 years, from the Sichuan region of China, believed to be the site of one of China's earliest civilizations. Dating from the 13th century B.C. to the 3rd century A.D., the objects include bronze vessels, jade and ceramic artifacts, and monumental bronze figures. The show is organized by the Sichuan Province Bureau of Cultural Relics and the Seattle Art Museum, where it is on view, May 10-Aug. 12, 2001.
