The Return of a Forgotten Language: Kernewek

This poster will be an exposition of research for a master's thesis in anthropology on the revival on-going of an ancient, almost forgotten language, Kernewek, the Celtic language of Cornwall, England. The English government tried to eradicate the use of Kernewek several centuries ago, and nearly succeeded. But efforts are now underway in Cornwall to rebuild the language from scattered and incomplete remnants, and bring it back into common usage. Comparisons of Kernewek ...
