PARIS -- Henry Racamier's days at the head of Louis Vuitton may be numbered but this is one gentleman who is determined to hang tough.

The 78-year-old president of the luggage and leather goods firm has less than three months to gain the initiative against his combatant Bernard Arnault, the financier and since early this year chairman of LVMH, who along with his ally Guinness PLC controls LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, France's largest luxury goods conglomerate.
