Washington Redskins coach Marty Schottenheimer yesterday put the odds at 50 percent of starting quarterback Jeff George returning for Friday's home preseason game against the Cleveland Browns. The coach also said newly acquired backup Tony Banks probably will see limited action.
Schottenheimer's comments came on a conference call following Friday night's 27-6 loss to the Atlanta Falcons at FedEx Field in which young quarterbacks Todd Husak and Sage Rosenfels combined for three interceptions. Washington (0-2) has been outscored 47-6 in the preseason.
