WASHINGTON--Israel and its Western allies must develop increasingly sophisticated missile defenses to counter advances in ballistic missile capabilities of such countries as Iraq, Iran, Syria and North Korea, some of which have demonstrated their readiness to use weapons of mass destruction during wartime, according to a top Israeli engineer.
