Aug. 19--When Jean Kane became president of Welsh Co. LLC last month, she joined an elite group of women in the nation's leading commercial real estate firms. Only about 15 percent of U.S. commercial real estate firms are led by women, according to the National Association of Realtors.
Welsh Cos. is one of the Twin Cities' two largest commercial real estate firms, with annual revenue of $125 million, 365 employees and a portfolio of 22 million square feet of commercial space. Kane, 40, joined Welsh Cos. 14 years ago as a property manager and has held several posts on ...
