ISO New England Inc., the operator of the region's electric power grid, has asked the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) to clarify a previous order and enable continued development of a proposed Standard Market Design (SMD) for the region's wholesale electricity market.
The action came in an August 17, 2001 request for clarification of FERC's July 25, 2001 order stating that it would "not now approve" the SMD during ongoing negotiations among ISO New England and its Northeastern counterparts - PJM Interconnection and the New York Independent ...
