ON THE RIVIERA: LOTS OF SUNSHINE
NEW YORK -- In an industry crowded with smaller family owned companies and independent artisans, Riviera Trading Co. has managed to become one of the few accessories giants.
Boris Kliot, owner of the company, said he expects its sales to be just shy of $200 million in 1989.
The Crystal Brands accessories division, which includes the Monet, Trifari and Marvella jewelry lines, rivals Riviera's volume, with sales of about $200 million. Another pacesetter in this exclusive circle is Liz Claiborne Accessories, which did $165 million in 1988.
