SYDNEY, Aug 20 Asia Pulse - Australian defence companies trying to break into Asian markets had no idea how to deal with Asians, and engaged in maverick behaviour, according to confidential reports obtained by The Australian newspaper.

The reports by the Australian embassies in Thailand and Malaysia, dated 1992 and 1993, showed a lack of cultural awareness by Australian defence companies trying to snag lucrative contracts in the region.
