CHESAPEAKE -- Chesapeake should consider changing its mosquito control system, two City Council members said Tuesday.
Reducing the rate of property taxes residents pay for mosquito control and encouraging the mosquito control districts' staffs to better coordinate their efforts are two reforms that council members Alan P. Krasnoff and John M. de Triquet say should be considered.
The council was scheduled to discuss the city's mosquito control operations during its Tuesday night meeting but had not taken up the issue by the Pilot's press time.
