DELANCEY, CANNED BY EVERY RADIO STATION IN TOWN, was in no real position to get choosy. He was a deejay. It was all he knew.
And there was the issue of the signal. The strongest signal on the continent. That was what they had promised him. The money, however fabulous, was incidental.
Now, as the small pick-up boat battled its way outwards against the surf, never a good traveler, he grappled with a fast-rising seasickness. Jaws clamped tightly together, he hunched forward, his right foot propped on the one item he had brought with him -- his father's trunk, the locked three-by-two metal chest.
