SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. _ As long as you're not a hate group, an advocate of violence or exclusionary, you can form a campus club at Capistrano Unified School District high schools.
The south Orange County district has opened it's club policy _ months after neighboring Saddleback Valley Unified banned all campus service clubs _ in what administrators say is an effort to preserve its student participation in clubs as well as community service that looks good on a college application.
Typically, clubs like Rotary, Kiwanis, National Honor Society and Key, require their members to volunteer in the community.
