CAR DEALER SUES CONNECTICUT BANK AND TRUST;
SEEKS $200 MILLION IN MONETARY AND PUNITIVE DAMAGES
HARTFORD, Conn., July 13 /PRNewswire/ -- A Groton, Conn., car dealer today announced it has filed a $200 million lawsuit against the Connecticut Bank and Trust Co. that could have major reverberations throughout the automobile business in Connecticut and the rest of New England.
The suit, filed by T.N.M. Lathrop, Inc., in Hartford Superior Court (Docket No. CV89-700316) charges that the bank has taken "unfair, oppressive and unscrupulous" actions in direct violation of the Connecticut Unfair Practices Act that have caused and will ...
