OLDWICK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 24, 2001
A.M. Best Co. has assigned an initial financial strength rating of B++ (Very Good) to CHA HMO, Inc., d/b/a CHA Health, Lexington, Kentucky.
The rating of CHA Health reflects the health plan's improved operating performance, increased equity composition, joint ownership by several of the leading hospital systems along with a good market presence in the operating area. Slightly offsetting these strengths are CHA Health's reported losses in 1998, state commercial membership as a percentage of total membership, the regulatory environment and CHA Health's limited service area.
