CAPITOL HILL HUNGER FIGHTERS TO BE HONORED IN WHITE HOUSE CEREMONY
WASHINGTON, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Hill Staffers for the Hungry and Homeless of Washington, "a group which sets an example for the rest of us who merely pass the homeless and say 'what a shame,'" will be honored in a White House ceremony on World Food Day, Oct. 16.
The ceremonies will mark presentation of the 1989 Presidential End Hunger Awards by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Scheduled to accept the award on behalf of the organization are the only two members of the original group that established Hill Staffers in 1986, Michael Slater and Ben ...
