1. Rare earth resources
China is a country with the richest rare earth resources in the world. The proven industrial reserves amount to 36 million tons (based on rare earth oxides) and the prospective reserves amount to 100 million tons, holding the first place in the world. Rare earth resources in China have complete variety, high quality and convenient mining. Light rare earth resources are mainly concentrated in Baotou Baiyun Ebo (iron/rare earth paragenous mineral) and Sichuan Mianning (bastnasite).
