Wenzel Co. Wednesday recalled 290,000 propane-fueled camping lanterns because gas can escape and ignite unexpectedly, posing a fire hazard.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the St. Louis company had received 12 reports of incidents, in which three consumers were burned.
The recalled lanterns are green and silver with brass fittings and a glass globe. They stand about 9-inches high.
The affected models are Ozark Trail 824927 and 824928, and Wenzel 824208, 824226, 824227 and 824401.
