DETROIT, Oct. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- Facing ongoing major disaster relief operations on both coasts of the United States and in the Caribbean, the American Red Cross today defined its needs as blood, money and people.
Blood collection agencies in the Bay area of California, the Carolinas and the Caribbean are hampered in their ability to collect blood and are depending upon Red Cross blood regions in other parts of the nation for shipments of blood.
