The United Steelworkers of America (USWA) said today that union members from Western Pennsylvania will march in the massive Labor Day Parade through downtown Pittsburgh, passing out handbills and circulating petitions that urge politicians to support the Steel Revitalization Act (H.R. 808) and other efforts to save America's manufacturing base.
Pittsburgh's Labor Day Parade, which last year attracted more than 50,000 union members and supporters and is one of the nation's largest, is organized by the Allegheny County Labor Council AFL-CIO. The Steelworkers hope to build support at the ...
