NEW GLARUS -- For the merely curious, there are two performances in English.
But those who possess the language skill and want to immerse themselves in Swiss lore can listen in German this weekend to the tale of the famed Wilhelm Tell, known for shooting an apple off his son's head with an arrow during Switzerland's 13th century struggle for independence from Austria.
Residents of New Glarus will present their Wilhelm Tell Pageant for the 63rd year this weekend. Performances will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday at the Wilhelm Tell Grounds, located on County W one mile east of New Glarus. From Madison, take ...
