CMS Energy Corporation (NYSE: CMS) today announced its Consumers Energy unit has completed a comprehensive control rod drive assembly inspection at its Palisades nuclear plant and chosen a replacement plan that will allow installation of new components in December 2001 and an expected return to power operation in January 2002.
The plant was taken out of service on June 20, 2001 to inspect a steam leak on a control rod drive assembly. There was no risk to the public or workers. Consumers recently completed an expanded inspection that included all similar control rod drive assemblies and has elected to completely ...
