Over $85,000 has been donated towards the U.S. Army Transportation Corps Museum expansion, reports retired Colonel James D. Rockey, President of the Army Transportation Museum Foundation Board of Directors. Using 100 volunteer Advisors throughout the United States, all Foundation individual members have been contacted, soliciting their financial support of the project. One board member, Retired Colonel Ted Rosenberg, challenged 25 members to make donations of $1,000, which he matched.
The requirement to begin construction is $700,000. Fund raising began during Transportation Corps week in July 2000 and has continued at an enthusiastic pace. The Foundation was ...
