NEW GLARUS -- The death of polka giant and fellow son Roger Bright was devastating enough.
But with one of this Green County village's biggest annual events -- the Wilhelm Tell pageant and Alpine Festival -- in full swing this weekend, Bright's absence is being taken especially hard.
The 64-year-old member of the both the Wisconsin and Minnesota Polka Halls of Fame suffered a heart attack Tuesday while performing at a polka festival in Boulder, Colo. He died a short time later at a Boulder hospital.
