In-depth studies have shown that zinc deficiency is quite widespread, even in a generally well-fed population, according to Susanna Cunningham-Rundles, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Immunology, Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.
