Sep. 4--When the North Texas Insurance Auto Auction opens today, it will be driving head-on into bigger competitors that have transformed the Metroplex salvage auto market.
The independent company will operate the only salvage auction in Tarrant County and will compete against two national auto auction chains that dominate the Metroplex market from Grand Prairie. Both are owned by public companies and gained their locations by buying up independents.
