Sep. 1--Local entrepreneur Cindy Brown has socked it to the odds against invention ideas or products making it to market.
"Only approximately 2 percent of ideas presented to patent and trademark offices every year actually make it," said Adel Alamo, former public relations representative at Invention Technologies Inc. in Coral Gables, Fla.
On July 10, 2000, Brown started home-based Seamless Creations Inc. out of what she considered a necessity. Seymour's Seamfree Socks is her company's sole product.
